Re: Flattest Martin Neck?

Thanks, timestep. Sometimes I will inadvertently hit an adjoining string, and I'd like to have a wide enough fretboard that such would rarely happen. Having the bottom of the neck close to the...

Re: Flattest Martin Neck?

Re: Flattest Martin Neck?

Something to bear in mind along with neck shape based on your "flat feel" description is the radius of the fingerboard.   I believe many classical guitars have much "flatter" fingerboards than...

Re: Flattest Martin Neck?

Krieg, I like the feel of classical guitar fingerboards, and would love to have Martin do a custom D-28 that had this kind of neck- that could handle steel strings, of course.- Charles

Re: Flattest Martin Neck?

I wonder if such a 'thin' neck would require a neck reset more often than would a beefier neck?- Charles

Re: Flattest Martin Neck?

Nope, a neck reset is a way to remedy the deformation of the body of the guitar as the result of string tension over time.
